Reporting to the Registrar, the Associate Registrar provides a wide range of office management, constituent service and functional end-user support in the Office of the Registrar.  Responsibilities include: Management of Registrar’s Office end-user functions using the Banner student system; developing and implementing Argos database reports; diagnosing and resolving data errors; Providing Registrar’s Office client services management of the College Honors program including leadership, planning, reporting, data entry, examination scheduling, and advising of students, faculty, staff and examiners as needed and serving as office liaison for Honors to all College administrative offices and academic departments; Providing Registrar’s Office leadership and occasional support of all the office’s constituent services, including registration, class scheduling, transfer credit, transcript fulfillment, degree audit and advising and training the staff of the Registrar’s Office.

Qualifications:

Experience with enterprise-wide software system, reporting tools, MS Access or its equivalent, a variety of desktop office productivity software, web design and other applications, and e-mail packages is required.  Familiarity with Argos, web based technology, and Registrar’s Office operations strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field and 3-5 years related experience required. Banner and/or higher education experience preferred. Must be able to work independently and organize, track, and set priorities for own workload. Must possess excellent communication skills, professionalism, outside of the box thinking, and solutions-oriented mindset.

Business Systems Analyst - Finance
Description                           


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in implementing the new Enterprise Resource Planning system, including configuring, populating, and testing the system.
  • Developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously enhancing information technology tools and reports to assure members of the College community have easy access to accurate and timely data.
  • Configuring and testing the information system (SunGard / Banner) during the implementation phase based on the requirements of Finance and the Business Office; determining what types of information, IT tools, reports, and applications will aid strategic decision-makers and then making such tools available.
  • Facilitating communication and interaction between the Finance staff and the Information Technology Services group; assuring data is securely stored, maintained, and readily accessible in the form needed to support College operations.
  • Creating reports to meet College needs as well as the requirements of vendors and regulatory agencies.
The Business Systems Analyst will participate in ongoing professional development activities as relevant to assure that skills and abilities stay current. The Business Systems Analyst will be expected to maintain knowledge of the ERP system’s features and capabilities by participating in listservs, attending conferences, and/or attending training sponsored by the system vendor. The Business Systems Analyst will interact directly with the information system vendor to address issues and to explore and implement new applications. The Business Systems Analyst will work collegially with members of the College’s Finance Office, Business Office, Human Resources, and Information Technology Services group, as well as other constituencies.

Requirements:


Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline; at least 5 years prior, relevant experience with enterprise applications; hands-on experience in the full-cycle software implementation process including prior experience implementing financial and/or payroll modules (SunGard/ Banner a plus); excellent client service skills; strong project management skills; experience with financial / accounting concepts; a proven ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to various audiences; and a willingness to work in a collegial manner with members of the campus community to meet their needs. Experience with Cognos or a similar business intelligence application is also required.
